How much is shipping?

Shipping for orders within Australia is charged at a flat rate of $11.95. All orders above $100.00 receive free shipping. We use AusPost with digital tracking for all orders.

How long is your order processing time?

All orders placed online are generally processed within 3-7 business days. Business days are Monday to Friday and exclude weekends and Public Holidays. During the lead up to Christmas and or sale periods, additional processing times may apply. Express Orders are processed within 3 (three) business day. 

How long will shipping take?

Once dispatched, please allow up to 7 business days for your order to arrive. This is dependent on your shipping address within Australia. Interstate and regional addresses may require additional shipping days. 

Please note that delivery timeframes are guidelines based on estimated time of arrival from the dispatch date, not the date your order is placed. Express Orders are not guaranteed to arrive on time. If you are purchasing for a special occasion, we cannot guarantee delivery as we use third party couriers and have no oversight as to their capacity at the time of purchase. 

I still haven't received my order?

You will receive tracking details via email once your order has been shipped. If you have not received tracking information, please check your junk inbox. 

Please ensure you have correctly entered your shipping address details (house number, street name, suburb and postcode) as we cannot be responsible for orders that do not arrive due to error in address. You may incur additional shipping charges if this occurs unless it is the error of MIAMI + CO. Once your order has been shipped, we cannot accept responsibility for any lost parcel.

Failure to collect your parcel from your local Courier depot or Australia Post may result in your order being returned to MIAMI + CO. Additional shipping charges will apply to resend your order to you a second time. Additional charges will apply even if your order qualifies for free shipping under the initial purchase. 

My order arrived damaged?

The utmost care is taken when wrapping orders for posting. Should your purchase arrive damaged, please contact info@miamiandco.com.au and include a description of the damage and photographic evidence, within 3 (three) days of arrival.

The products and packaging must be returned in an unused condition. Any product and packaging that is returned in a used condition will not be deemed faulty/damaged. You may incur additional shipping charges to return the product or if appropriate, a refund will be given within 7 days of being received by MIAMI + CO. If the product is returned in an unused condition we will happily replace the product.

I don't like the scent I chose, can it be returned?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept refunds for a change of mind. If the scent you have chosen is not to your liking, we will happily exchange your purchase with another of our beautiful scents. Exchanges will only be accepted on full price items within 14 days of purchase. Exchange is not available on products purchased on sale. In order to successfully exchange your order, the following procedure must be followed:

  1. Email info@miamiandco.com.au with your purchase number, and new scent you would like to receive.
  2. The original order must be returned in unused condition at the customer’s own shipping expense. If there is damage to the packaging and or product, we will not be able to accept the exchange.
  3. MIAMI + CO. will send out the exchange product, shipping costs will be at the expense of the customer. 

Please note additional shipping charges will apply to your order, even if your original order qualifies for free shipping. 

CANDLE FAQ's

What type of wax do you use?

We use a 100% natural soy wax. This is plant based making it one of the most eco-friendly and sustainable waxes. It is composed of non-petroleum renewable resources, derived from high yield crops of soy beans. It’s a fully biodegradable wax, free from pesticides and herbicides and kosher certified. Benefits of soy wax is that it produces less smoke, less soot, it's non-toxic and far better for the environment.

What type of wicks do you use?

We use 100% natural and eco-friendly wooden wicks that are sourced from FSC-certified mills. There are many benefits to wooden wicks, the most known is the calming soft crackling sound they make, reminiscent of a log fire. They burn cleaner than cotton wicks with no carbon build up and burn slower than traditional wicks. This results in a much longer burn time for your MIAMI + CO. candle.

Are your candles strongly scented?

We are known for our long lasting and strong fragrances! Our fragrances are complex and infused using natural essential and fine fragrance oils. Our candles are carefully blended at melting point, so your MIAMI + CO. candle will deliver a consistent and unmatched scent throw throughout its life span.

How to care for my new candle?

When lighting your candle for the first time, allow the wax to melt all the way to the sides of the jar. This will ensure a consistent and even burn.

It is also important to always trim your wick to 1/4 inch before relighting each time. This can be done by simply pinching off any black charred wood, and lighting the fresh wood underneath. If the wick is too long, the flame may have difficulty staying lit. The recommended maximum burn time of a MIAMI + CO. candle is 4 hours.

For added safety, ensure the flame is extinguished as the wick nears the base of the jar or as the wax is close to being completely melted. 

How do I remove spilt wax?

Allow the wax to completely harden and then remove any larger pieces of wax. Being 100% natural and biodegradable, our wax is water soluble and therefore very easily cleaned with hot soapy water.

How can I ensure I'm burning my candle safely?

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Don’t place a burning candle near clothing, books, curtains or anything flammable. Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets. Place your candle on a stable and heat-resistant surface. Place burning candles at least 3 inches apart from one another. Please refer to our safety sticker on the bottom of each candle for further information.

ARE YOUR PERFUMES VEGAN?

Absolutely! We take pride in the fact that all of our products are 100% vegan. We do not use any animal-derived ingredients or by-products in our perfumes.

what is in your perfumes?

Our perfumes are proudly handmade in Canberra with a blend of natural ingredients and safe synthetics. We adhere to the highest clean beauty standards as well as those prescribed by The International Fragrance Association.

This means we never use:

  • Phthalates
  • Parabens
  • Sulphates
  • Mineral oils
  • Petroleums
  • Siloxanes
  • DEA (Diethanolamine)
  • PEGs (Polyethylene Glycols)
  • BHA (Butylated Hydroxyanisole)

REED DIFFUSER FAQ's

how long should reed diffusers last?

Our reed diffusers are a generous size, meaning that the minimum lifetime of your reed diffusers is at least 6+ months. However, depending on your environment and temperature, they are known to considerably exceed this timeframe.

How to care for my new reed diffuser?

When first using your reed diffuser, allow the reeds to absorb the fragrance for 15 minutes, then gently flip the reeds to release the aroma. To enhance the fragrance in the air, flip the reeds on a weekly basis.
